80's Remix
Our 11th Annual Gala brought the Emajjin community together for an unforgettable 80's-themed evening at Parkview Manor, raising $50,000 in support of Easter Seals Ontario — helping children, youth, and young adults with physical disabilities gain independence, confidence, and the freedom to reach their full potential.
I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone at Emajjin Children's Foundation for your incredible support over the past year and for choosing Easter Seals as one of your charities of choice. Your $50,000 gift has made a truly meaningful impact on the children and families we support. Because of your generosity, we are able to provide critical programs and equipment that help children with physical disabilities gain independence, confidence, and opportunity. We are so grateful for your belief in our mission and the trust you have placed in our organization.

The 11th Annual Emajjin Children's Foundation Gala took guests back to the decade of big hair, bold colours, and unforgettable music. Held on Sunday October 26, 2025 at Parkview Manor in North York, the 80's Remix Gala was an evening filled with fun, community, and an extraordinary commitment to children with physical disabilities.
Guests arrived dressed in their best 80's attire, enjoyed a live auction, silent auction, raffle, and performances from Shalom and Friends. The Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, sent a personal message commending the Foundation for its decade-plus of dedicated service to children in need.
Keynote speaker Shamil Sohail — the 2024 Provincial Easter Seals Ambassador — delivered a powerful and moving address, reminding every guest why this work matters so deeply.
For over 100 years, Easter Seals Ontario has been a leading provider of programs and services for young people with physical disabilities in Ontario. Their conviction is simple but powerful: disabled will never mean unable.
Easter Seals supports children, youth, and young adults with a wide range of long-term physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, Rett syndrome, and spinal cord injuries. Despite these challenges, the young people they support are vibrant, resourceful, and full of potential — each with their own aspirations and ambitions.
For Emajjin, Easter Seals embodies everything we look for — a century of community service, fiscal responsibility, and an unwavering focus on giving children with disabilities the tools they need to build confidence, foster independence, and pursue their dreams.
