Update – Dekpor Health Week 2021

We are pleased to share the following update from Carol Sheardon, Director of Dekpor School Development Organisation (DSDO) – our primary recipient charity for 2019.

Dear Emajjin Children’s Foundation friends,

It’s time for another wonderful update!

It is with great joy that I can let you all know that the medical attention sponsored by Emajjin Children’s Foundation is a fait accompli!

Health Week was a resounding success!

We are so grateful that over 800 students at Dekpor Basic School and staff were screened, benefited from educational sessions, and were treated!

Our sponsored high school students and apprentices are also going to be taken Sogakope’s hospital to be seen by the dentists and vision nurses (they were away at their schools).

The team of dentists and vision specialists put in incredibly long hours, but what a benefit to all! This was the second time, EVER, that students had a chance to be seen and treated by a dentist. It was the FIRST time for many of them to have their vision tested.

The things we take for granted are an amazing gift for the people of Dekpor. Emajjin Children’s Foundation has made an incredible impact on the entire village and we can’t thank you enough for funding this!

Today seemed like the perfect day to spread the love and gratitude.
